Last year, I wanted to make a bike video that showcases the reality of true mountain bike enthusiasts. In other words, bike parks and trails don’t just magically appear; they require a tremendous amount of effort from the community, volunteers, and the die-hard riders who have biking in their blood.
That’s when I immediately thought of my good buddy Kevin Lord, one of the most dedicated and passionate riders and builders I know. And what better place to film than our new playground in Estrie, the Hatley Bike Park, which has been emerging over the past few years.
So, on a hot summer day (35°C), my buddy Kev and I set out to try and capture something meaningful. At its core, this video is a kind of manifesto to thank everyone involved, near or far, in mountain biking in Quebec.
