In association with Wahoo and Santa Cruz Bicycles, we're proud to present - West Highland Way | Rab Wardell's Record Attempt.
Stretching from just outside Glasgow and finishing in Fort William, the 95 miles (153km) West Highland Way is a world-famous, multi-day route loved by adventurers from all over the world. Made up of everything from single track paths to scrambles and gravel roads all over a gruelling 10,351ft of climbing.
In 2011 Rab Wardell first set the FKT for the route on a mountain bike at 12h 15m, since then the bar has been raised higher and higher by some seriously talented riders with Garry McDonald setting an impressive time of 9h 28 in August this year.
We followed Rab, documenting his journey to reclaiming his title. Not without drama he finishing the route in an impressive 9h 15m throwing down the gauntlet firmly once again.
