April 28th, 2021 – Québec, Canada – iF3’s first edition of the iF3 Mountain Bike films festival will take place May 6th to 8th, 2021. Over 15 movie projects will be presented during the 3 days. iF3 will present two live TV shows featuring mountain bike pro athletes and producers in interviews as well as mountain biking movies streaming “live” immediately after the shows. Access to the program, tv shows and movies streaming is free. Due to various government rules and regulations across Canada and around the world the online format for the festival remains the most secure environment for the mountain bike community to gather and celebrate the best images, projects and athletes’performances captured over the past few months.
All the details of the upcoming festival program can be found on their new website at www.if3mountainbike.com. Thursday night, May 6th, at 7h30 p.m. EST and 8h30 p.m. PST, world renown athletes Darren Berrecloth and Brett Tippie will be hosting a live show with interviews and showing excerpts of some of the main projects taking part in the festival. It will be followed by many movies streaming “live” for all the fans to enjoy from the safety of their own homes. Friday May 7th, 7h30 p.m. EST an all french TV show will feature many of the made in Quebec projects. Finally, Saturday May 8th, some of the movies will be available to watch “on demand” via the iF3 website. By Saturday May 8th at midnight, the public and fans will need to cast their votes for their favorite amateur project and professional project which will determine the winners of the iF3 Public Choice Awards of 2021.
Different options are currently being considered for physical gatherings during the period of May 15th to July 15th following the festival. iF3 has the licenses to show some of the major projects in a cinema environment and is planning “Drive-In” screenings. This will depend on government and health regulations in Canada.

iF3 festival is well known for its yearly happenings and events to celebrate the international community of skiing and snowboarding with already 13 successful editions since 2007. It is natural for the festival to include the mountain biking community and begin a yearly happening at an international level in 2021. iF3 plans to organize an iF3 Movie Awards gala for the mountain bike projects for the 2nd edition to take place in early April 2022. This first edition is a call out to all mountain biking athletes and movie producers. iF3 is encouraging everyone to get out there and pedal a new movie project to submit for next spring!
